Two Hours Traffic at Soundscapes
When I found out Two Hours Traffic were coming through town last month I shot ‘em an email and asked if they would like to come play an in-store at Soundscapes. Happily, they were pretty keen on the idea, so here we are with this video. If you dig the sound, the boys will be back in town on November 21st at the Garrison. It’s an all-ages show so you can bring your little brother or sister.
Ohbijou at Soundscapes
Ohbijou just put out Beacons*, and they played Soundscapes to celebrate because they are our friends and where else would they play?
*What is going on this year? It’s like everyone I know is getting signed to record labels and releasing amazing new albums out and touring all the time and getting popular.
Dog Day at Soundscapes
It’s tough coming up with anything interesting to say about these in-store videos. Dog Day played at Soundscapes a few months back, they’re awesome, it was cool, what else is there to say? I got their new album on limited edition sky blue vinyl because I’m a sucker for any records that are limited edition and coloured. Good thing the album kicks ass.
Gentleman Reg at Soundscapes
Here is a video I shot yesterday of Gentleman Reg playing at Soundscapes. I started listening to Gentleman Reg way back when because he was signed to the same label as Cuff the Duke and the Cons. That was a long time ago now, about 5 years, but he’s finally putting out a new album, which is cool. Anyway, I wasn’t sure if I was going to go to this in-store or not. I wanted to, but I was having a crummy day so I thought of staying in. However, the best cure for the blues is to go out and have fun, amirite folks? So I went to Soundscapes with my new camera in tow and had a great time. I saw plenty of friends, and got to try out my new camera in a familiar setting. I think the footage is a lot better than what I was getting with my old camera, wouldn’t you say? It’s even in HD (so it might take longer to load). Hope you enjoy it, feel free to post it on your own blog or e-mail it to a friend.
